The blitz of rain couldn’t keep the crowd away from Marie Claire’s benefit for Redlight Children Wednesday night. Suits, skirts and heels decorated every corner of Le Poisson Rouge as young professionals and the socially inclined donned umbrellas and attitude as they made their way to the East Village.
From the haze of red lights to the rhythmic sound of the band, the evening took on a sultry façade; one only mimicked by the beautiful crowd that filled the room. Between sipping and swaying, party-goers …
Tuesday night, Def Jam’s Jeremih who shares the label with mega artists like Jay Z, Jadakiss, LL Cool J, Ne-Yo and Nas to name a few held a party that was supposed to launch “Home of Rhythm” with his official album release party. Home of Rhythm is a new and exclusive bi-monthly live performance series held at Providence on 57th between 8th & 9th avenue. Doors opened at 7pm, the show started minutes after 9pm and I left at 11:30pm during the Michael Jackson …

It was packed with hipsters, graphic designer guys, the fashionable, and included guests Erin Lucas (from MTV’s the City), Ali Lohan and Dina Lohan…umm where was Lindsay? Dina who is nearing 50 actually looked younger than her 15 year old daughter!! She had a super skinny frame, a huge blond mega weave, and was wearing skin tight leather pants..does your mother dress like that? After …
Gearing up for Sunday’s big parade, Kiehl’s and Out Magazine joined forces to celebrate gay pride, and celebrate they did! Sipping margaritas courtesy of Midori, enjoying the wonderful flavors of Pinkberry and dancing to the likes of Michael Jackson and Lady Gaga played by hosts the Misshapes, party-goers truly had a gay ol’ time.
Held at Kiehl’s flagship store in the East Village, the event was a sight to behold. From the …

Hamptons Report: On one of the first rain-free Saturday nights in the Hamptons, Nicky Hilton co-hosted the second annual Malibu Summer Soiree at Lily Pond to a crowd of a few hundred party goers. Nicky, boyfriend David Katzenberg and her gaggle of girlfriends danced, drank and laughed the night away to the sounds of DJ NVM and Lee Kalt. -Kirill Was Here

I rode the entry express line, aka I skipped a whole bunch of people so that I didn’t have to wait with the masses and once I was inside I was served a magnificent feast of delectable art. It was a creative extravaganza at The Chelsea Art Museum for the opening night of The Four Artist in Concert. The exhibit was a fusion of emerging music ensembles and visual artist and featured the works of Morgan Russell, Mark Weiner, Fedele Spadafora and …
There were a ton of parties Thursday night (June 25th 2009) in NYC to celebrate the NBA draft. First stop: Jay Z’s 40/40 club. At 11:30pm, it was very close to standing room only downstairs. Upstairs a mass of partygoers huddled together attempting to make their way to the VIP rooms. After about 30 minutes, the massive sandwich moved about 3 steps forward. It was time to move on.
Next stop: M2 Ultra Lounge. The bouncers were quite selective and it was obvious you needed …
Nokia went all out for the launch of its N97 phone with a decadent bash at the very lush Marquee nightclub. By 6:30, the club was wall-to-wall packed with everyone from gold clad party people to pen in the pocket Nokia employees. The DJ wasted no time in pulling out the old school party classics. Couple that with a generous open bar (of course there were complimentary pink drinks!) and the party peaked in no time flat.
The mass of people spilled over into Marquee’s …

In a city shrouded with reality and practicality, the William Bennett Gallery has welcomed imagination and irrationality to New York with its “Persistence of Dali” exhibition. Toting 150 exceptional proofs, rare prints, unique works and never-before-seen photographs, the gallery opened Thursday night to a dynamic and lively crowd fascinated by the eclectic artist.
With glasses of wine in hand, the space was a flutter of conversation and contemplation as guests enjoyed the ambiance of the evening and the thought-provoking images that lay before them.
