December 3rd: Marie Claire hosted a delightful intimate gathering at McNally Jackson Books. Lauren Groff, author of The Monsters of Templeton was available for one on one discussions. Guests enjoyed ultra-sweet Navan drinks and took home bags of magazines, another book, a tote bag, candle, compact mirror, and Aveeno face cleanser.
Overall, it was a lovely relaxed event. I wish I had a chance to read the book earlier as I am a total nerd and would have really gotten into meeting the author, but I was too embarassed ot say hello as I had not read the book!
