Mr. West Event

December 3rd: I’ve grown to like Mr. West. No, not the whiny, thinks he’s better than any and everyone else, ridiculous sunglass wearing, rapper turned synthesizer singer Kanye West, but the lounge wayyyy on 12th ave somewhere. I haven’t had the best of times there, it’s just a nice atmosphere and the staff is sweet. It’s a cozy, sexy nook of a lounge that lends itself to intimate gatherings and would be a great event space.

They hosted an event planner party last night, which meant elderly women elbowing me for a piece of shrimp. Great! It was a lackluster event though. Looking around, I spotted mostly party crashers, the hors d’oeuvres kept going to the “owners” (which is what a server said about the 5-6 people held up in one corner), however, the drinks were limitless and that’s how I like my drinks!

So after a few more minutes of not networking or eating, but drinking my weight in champagne, I decided to hit up another “event” of sorts…Boston Market. I know what you’re thinking; (because I’m psychic) Boston Market?! Yes, honey…the one and only Boston Market hosted a tasting yesterday that I was embarrassed to be seen at. Luckily, there was hardly anyone there and plenty of chicken, fish, rice and other Boston Market faves.
