Diesel Only the Brave Launch Party

April 30th: Diesel celebrated the launch of their new men’s fragrance “Only the brave” by throwing a fantastic party and art reception in Soho. The party was sponsored by Absolut and featured an eclectic group of guests, which included what I am 99% sure was an albino dude wrapped in toilet paper. How fantastic was the event? It was so fantastic that it had reached capacity an hour after it began, and guests were not allowed in by order of the fire department!
The new cologne is described as being artsy and virile in spirit, going three ways as far as the fragrance personality goes: oriental, and woody. As a girl I can honestly say that it definitely increases the sex appeal of any gentleman wearing it. I approve! Only the Brave is named after Diesel founder Renzo Rosso’s Only the Brave charitable foundation.
I found the artwork at the event to be quite interesting. According to their site “The artwork… took serious nerve to create. The artists of The KDU produced pieces of sheer Bravery, including an 18ft wooden sculpture that curved to spell BRAVE by Bob Partington, models walking in hand knit pieces that looked like a mix between straight jackets and wings, and an entire wall of hand drawn 8.5×11 pieces of paper, which made a map of world, complete with iconic buildings, bridges and lighthouses (all drawn, over 5 years, on the NYC subway and never previously viewed as a whole!)”

Cheers,
