Derek loves shopping – and brunch, too! Who doesn’t love the most relaxing New York tradition of brunching on the weekends?
On Sunday, May 17th, Derek Warburton of Derek Loves Shopping hosted a delicious brunch party at Soho’s Room 18. Guests in the back of the quaint restaurant enjoyed a meal of eggs, crepes, and other tasty brunch morsels, while guests in the front chatted lively and continuously complemented each other on their fashion sense and great look. And look fabulous, we did!
With over 15 years of experience in the fashion industry, Derek Warburton has consulted for Beyonce, Sean Paul, Victoria’s Secret model Miranda Kerr, and supermodel Jodi Kidd. Additionally, he has held hosting spots on the Style Network, FoxNews, and been heralded by multiple editorial reviews, including the Boston Globe and recently the New York Times.
He has carried his charismatic personality and sophisticated style sense across the globe, including New York, Boston, Miami, London, and Milan. Most recently, Derek has been appointed Style Editor at Genre Magazine and created the original “How to Be Derek-Fabulous” workshop at Bottomless Closet NYC. Quite the busy fashionista!
Derek Loves Shopping (www.dereklovesshopping.com) is a premier website devoted to fashion, providing commentary on celebrity fashion hits and misses, and also sharing helpful tips for our every day lives. His media coordinator, Ashley Foster, is also a gem, who dazzled and charmed everyone with her great smile!
The event was put together by the lovey ladies of Simply Chic PR, Sabrina Chapman and Justine McCarthy. Invitees included: Charlotte Ronson, Catharine Malandrino, Finnish pop star Alexandra Alexis, fashion expert Adrien Field, Questforit.com blogger Tia Walker, Nicholas Fahey of Glitterati Magazine, and yours truly, of course.
Room 18 is family-owned, cozy and charming restaurant best known for its Asian-influenced tapas. I discovered it a few years ago randomly exploring Soho, and was ecstatic for the chance to go back and revisit. Their Sunday special Shopaholic Sangria was delicious, made with your choice of red or white wine infused with fresh fruit from local New York farms. They have a great list of moderately priced wine bottles, a great place for a relaxing evening out with friends over a few glasses and gossip.
Yours,
Von

More guys would be into shopping if brunch was included as the part of every outing.
