Men.Style.com 3rd Annual Party for Women of Fashion with Kanye West

It has been a little slow lately in terms of really fun events, aside from the tons of charity events (which are good because of the partying for a cause factor) going on, and socialtely (not a word) mixers it has been kind of dry. Which is no fun! However, as a girl on the quest for fun I headed over to the Men.style.com event last night. And if there are two things I learned last night it is 1. If you are going to take a picture of Kanye West (per his request) make sure you get a picture of his Timbs (yes he actually said that to photogs snapping his picture) and 2. He is short! And I am short so if I think he is short that S.O.B. is short*. No, but aside from that and his conceded, trash talking, wears his sunglasses at night image he actually seemed to be a pretty decent and (gasp) nice guy. He stopped and posed for a picture with anyone who asked him and as you can imagine EVERYONE was trying to get a picture with him all 300 or so guests.
I arrived at the event early to see Erin Fetherston sitting on a sofa in the courtyard, and it was actually quite nice because it wasn’t packed yet (key word:yet) the event was in the courtyard of the Palace hotel located on 50th st and Madison which is a nice and upscale venue (I know what you may be thinking..what was Mo doing there?).
The event was held on June 10th in honor of Men.style.com’s 3rd Annual Women of Fashion “25 Women who Make the World More Glamorous”. Attendees included DJ Cassidy (who you are probably tired of me mentioning), OneilMcknight , Charlotte Ronson, Rachel Roy (who posed for a few pictures on the red carpet and walked out the door!), Model Chanel Iman (who is pretty hot right now), Jason Wu (designed Michelle Obama’s inaugural dress) Fonzworth Bentley (who I was scrambling to get a photo of ..you have NO idea how much I love From G’s to Gents..which I am only semi ashamed to admit), and a slew of other either did not see or I’m clueless as to who they are.
They were serving up a full open bar, white wine, and a specialty cocktail that was made from grapefruit vodka (I had one and I was good for the night if that gives you any idea..and remember this is Mo I am talking about). Waiters passed out some of the most delicious hors d’oeuvres that included truffle grilled cheese sandwiches, fries, and other yummy treats.
Guests stood in the center of the courtyard and at some point there were so many people there it became uncomfortable. There were two VIP sections towards the back. One section was almost completely empty with people I didn’t recognize, and the other section was packed full of most of the VIP guest including Kanye who was smoking up a storm (cigarettes), Chanel, Oneil, Cassidy, Fonzworth (who I respect he went from being Diddy’s man servant umbrella holder to a Celeb..I heart Fonzworth), and others. They drank out of their bottle and posed for pictures, but it seemed like they were doing more posing than partying. Kanye made the rounds again to pose for more pictures and his bodyguard was M.I.A. by this point..why? Because he was too busy macking on girls! And then suddenly around 10pm they all left and went to Greenhouse. Which means the party is over!
By that time that place was a crowded mess so I had to break out. My only regret is not taking a picture with him, however if I had that photo would never see the light of day..it’s just not my style. I hear he will be at something tonight with Lady GaGa who he is rumored to be dating. And don’t worry Kanye Mo got a picture of your Timbs below (check out the guy next to him in high waters is that in again?).
