2009 NBA Draft Party at M2 Lounge

There were a ton of parties Thursday night (June 25th 2009) in NYC to celebrate the NBA draft. First stop: Jay Z’s 40/40 club. At 11:30pm, it was very close to standing room only downstairs. Upstairs a mass of partygoers huddled together attempting to make their way to the VIP rooms. After about 30 minutes, the massive sandwich moved about 3 steps forward. It was time to move on.
Next stop: M2 Ultra Lounge. The bouncers were quite selective and it was obvious you needed a “hook up” to get in but once I was in, it all made sense. The place was packed with celebs, athletes, reality TV folks, and NYC’s finest partygoers. Although VIP was crammed, I did manage to see comedian Kevin Hart , Brooke & Christian of BET’s Harlem Heights, Jordan Hill (Knicks draft pick), Jadakiss, Salt N Pepa’s Pepa , Grammy Award winning producer Rockwilder, Singer Trey Songz, actress Meagan Good, and reality television star T-Weed of VH1’s I Love NY season 1 and I Love Money season 2. DJ Clue, DJ Mr. Cee and DJ S&S keep the party going and helped the crowd pay tribute to the loss of Michael Jackson. It was a blast! Congrats to all the draft picks!
