Opening of Swarovski Crystallized Concept Store

Thursday June 25th marked the opening of the new Swarovski Crystallized Store in Soho. The event was hosted by Gossip Girl’s Blake Lively and also marked as the collaboration with one of my favorite charities Charity Water. High profile guests came out to support the occasion including Evan Rachel Wood, Lucy Lui, and Erin Fetherston. At the new store You can choose from over 2,000 “elements” including crystals, gems and pearls at the “Library of Light,” where items are conveniently categorized by color, size and cut. There will also be a special edition Swarovski crystal necklace for the launch of the flagship store, where all proceeds benefited charity:water, a non-profit that supplies drinking water projects in developing countries, that partnered the event. The venue was packed from wall to wall and it was very humid with most people opting to wait by the door with hopes of catching a glimpse of the celebs as they made their entrance. It was a great celebration and somewhat of a mourning since it was the day of Michael Jackson’s death (something I think we are all still shocked by particularly Mo) which seemed to be the #1 topic of conversation. The DJ helped us remember him and pay tribute to him by playing dome of MJ’s classic hits. The store is located at 499 Broadway and open to the public. Cheers, Mo

Even with a production cost of about $50 this video will always be a classic!
