In lieu of continuing my streak of being M.I.A. recently (real life getting in the way of parties? What is happening to me?! HELP!*) I decided to check out the Three Olives Vodka launch party held at Greenhouse introducing Three-O Bubbleä Vodka. It ’s English, it’s premium, and it tastes like bubble gum. Yes bubble gum!

The vodka is described as being ” handcrafted in small batches in England from fine English wheat. This vodka line is matched in quality, availability and flavors by only a few other companies and many of their infused vodkas stretch the limits of what we consider the “clear, flavorless spirit” but do so in an austere, yet innovative, fashion.” All of this doesn’t really mean much to me seeing as how I am not an expert on the process of crafting alcohol, it all comes down to taste and it tastes like..umm..err..ehh..well I am sure there are some people out there who like bubble gum flavored booze. Ok honestly the first sip was a bit shocking I couldn’t wrap my head around bubble gum flavored liqueur it took some getting used to, after sip # 3 I convinced myself that “I can deal with this”, and after sip #10 it actually wasn’t bad at all (If that says anything). To put a positive spin on it I suppose one benefit of drinking bubble gum flavored alcohol is having bubble gum fresh breath? I don’t know… Three Olives is known for interesting and wacky flavors like Three Olives Tomato Vodka, Root Beer flavored vodka, and now bubble gum.

I arrived at the event around 8:30 and in true Greenhouse fashion there seemed to be a mob scene outside of the door. It was a mess! After quickly checking in I made my way into the venue headed for the bar and although they were serving up plain flavored vodka I decided to give the bubble gum flavored vodka a try (I was very afraid). As usual there were specialty cocktails being served up at the bar. The beverages had names like “Three-O Bubble Martini”, “Bubble-O 7″, and “Three-O Bubble Bomb”. I opted for the “Bubble-O 7″ which was simply a mix of Bubble Gum Vodka and lemon-lime soda.

The party was to be hosted by Kim Kardashian, famous for a sex tape and her hit reality show on E! Keeping up with the Kardashians (right?). Everyone seemed to be waiting with anticipation for her arrival. As the night rolled on the VIP guests started to make their arrivals. One of the first to arrive was camera and media shy Real Housewives of New York star Kelly Killoren Bensimon who loves her anonymity so much and is afraid of the spotlight (like many people out on the party circuit) that she posed on the red carpet for a million pictures for a good 30 minutes, gave what seemed like a 40 minute interview, checked around to see if anyone else wanted to interview her, went inside the club, then came back out and posed for another 1 million pictures. When will she come out of her shell? Like you I am waiting for the day. Her co-star and definitely my favorite Housewife Jill Zarin made an appearance as well.

After making my way around the venue I decided to peak my head outside and noticed that the photogs were going crazy, flashes were going off everywhere. Was Kim finally here? No! It was former ‘N Sync-er, and Dancing With the Stars contestant Lance Bass. He was kind enough to pose for some pictures and then he made his way into the VIP section. By this time the party was well underway and there was no sign of Kim. In addition the venue became packed. Dangerously packed.  And still no sign of Kim. Which is ok because I don’t go to these events to brag about the celebs in attendance, but that place was crowded!

Finally, around 10 ish Kim showed up! Wearing raccoon cakey makeup. And I was shocked to see that she was around my height (unnaturally short). She came she posed for pictures her sister Khloe Kardashian made an appearance and at 11 p.m. sharp she was gone! Where was the other one? Her name is Kourtney right?  Another night out on the party circuit!

Cheers,

Mo
