BCBGMAXAZRIA Runway

Mo is alive! Well, barely:  Fashion Week may do me in. It has been a series of shows, parties and special events!

It all began on September 10th for Fashion’s Night Out where I found myself at Bergdorf’s which turned out to be a crowded nightmare. I think everyone was attempting to get a glimpse of the Olsen Twins who were supposed to be guest DJ’ing.  I was caught up in a crowed unable to move and someone turned to me and signed something, unfortunately I do not speak sign language so she pulled out her Blackberry and on it she wrote “Where is MK and Ashley?” All I could do was shrug my shoulders.

I quickly made my way out of the croweded and found my self on a floor that seemed to be a little empty which was a relief. I stood around and out of the blue Anna Wintour was right in front of me (NO LIE!!).  She was wearing a white sleeveless shirt and my eyes were drawn to her arms which looked the way someones arms would look if you sucked the fat out of it and they were left with a bunch of loose skin.

Word was out that Victoria Beckham was in the building as well as Lindsay Lohan, but events that are too packed are not really Mo’s style, so I was out. Just in time to see a line around the building that spanned an entire block! I hope they were able to raise something for the cause.

Earlier that day I was at the Hautelook Lounge (most amazing gift bag ever!) located in the Bryant Park Hotel across the streets from the Tents. It was a chance to catch up with people I haven’t seen in what seemed like ages (due to the fact that I have been M.I.A.), and a chance to relax, and do some work on the laptops courtesy of Sony Vaio.  Needless to say, on September 10th (the official first day of Fashion Week) the madness began.

This may be an understatement, but I know absolutely nothing about fashion and my interest in it does not extend beyond celebrity gawking at shows and fun after parties. The Tents this year have appeared to be a crowded mess (can’t wait until FW is moved to Lincoln Center next season), with an array of fashionable people, anorexic girls, people who seemed to have wondered in off the street, tons of press people from all over the world (every press outlet was in the building!), and semi celebs.

This year I would have to say that my favorite booths were the McCafe (yes it is part of McDonald’s which is insane because after Fashion Week no one who got drinks there will be caught dead in Mickey Dees) which makes the most amazing hot chocolate.  Another favorite booth was the Tresseme Lounge which is giving out mini gift bags with product.  And lastly and most naturally, my favorite booth would have to be the bar which is sponsored by the group that manages Tenjune.

The first show on the agenda was BCBGMAXAZRIA which turned out to be a little lackluster. Notably in attendance was Keri Hilson, Solange, Amanda Bynes, Alexandra and Theodora Richards, and Lauren Conrad.

I will let the images and video below speak for themselves!

Cheers,

Mo
