Party Patrol:Top Parties of Fashion Week & VMA’s

In terms of some of the best parties that took place during Fashion Week here are our top picks…

• One of the top parties that took place during Fashion Week and perhaps one of the most celebrity studded was surprisingly the  the Dsquared2 after party that took place on W 28th st By the West side highway. Celebrity guests included Mary J. Blidge, Hillary Duff, Kelly Rowland, Rachel Zoe, Nikki Hilton, Mena Suvari, Amerie, Tyson (who I hadn’t seen in forever! He’s back!), Ciara, and Kristin Cavallari..Phew!

• And without a doubt the TOP party of Fashion Week had to be the Marc Jacobs Spring 2010 Fashion show After party/ V Magazine party held at Hiro Ballroom. Guests included Lindsay Lohan, Janet Jackson, Courtney Love, Mischa Barton, Alexander Wang, Russell Simmons, Rachel Zoe, and Estelle with a performance by Lady GaGa! Madonna bailed!

• She has been out at many events recently and we love her! We are referring to none other than Mary J. Blidge “the Queen of Hip-Hop Soul” (as hailed by Puffy). She threw an event in honor of her charity FFAWN (Foundation For the Advancement of Women Now). The event brought out big name celebs like LeBron James, Serena Williams, Alicia Keys, Estelle, Russell Simmons, and Donald Trump.

In terms of the best parties from MTV’s VMA’s (Video Music Awards) here are our picks…

Yes we didn’t forget the VMA’s in the shuffle of all of the Fashion Week Events here are our picks on some of the top parties of the 2009 MTV Video Music Awards

• Jay-Z threw not one but two parties for the VMA’s. One was a party he threw at his 40/40 club.A sics sponsored party that had the coveted Grey Goose open bar, and included guests like Rihanna. He then headed over to 1 Oak for a star studded affair. Guest included Kim Kardashian, Cassie, Kimora Lee Simmons and husband Djimon Hounsou, Justin Timberlake, and Diddy. “Outside of 1 Oak, some eyewitnesses reported a huge verbal confrontation with Diddy and his crew and some police officers and security.”

• Interscope Records held a VMA party at Avenue with guests who included Lady Gaga (amking a fashion statement), Perez Hilton, Katy Perry, Russell Brand, Diddy, Akon, Keri Hilson, Kim Kardashian, Nicky Hilton, and Soulja Boy.
