SONY VAIO Preview Event at Gustavino’s

Sony held a great event at Gustavino’s, a great space that has become my favorite event space under a bridge. Yes the venue is located under the 59th st bridge and is architecturally stunning! It was the perfect location for the launch party for Sony Vaio’s new line. It was also a chance for guests to preview Windows 7.

The event featured the highly coveted full open bar, delicious passed food like tuna tartar, steak, and spinach puffs. DJ Kiss kept the crowd going with fantastic music. And I am not just saying this the music was incredible! Around 7:30 Cirque Berzerk took the stage for a performance that kind of reminded me of a bad Cirque du Soleil (another sign that the economy is hitting events two years ago that would have been Beyonce on the stage). However, there were some celebrities in attendance.

Mischa Barton was accompanied by her ” friend,” and Star Jones looked almost unrecognizable to me as she sat in the VIP section with an unidentifiable male guest. After taking in the sights and sounds of the event  headed downstairs and I had a “Mo-moment” when I saw Lil Mama and gushed about how much I loved the show America’s Next Best Dance Crew. I told her she looked young and she said she had just celebrated her 21st birthday! Then she hopped in a Jeep and rode away. Next stop: Porsche and Vanity Fair.

Cheers,

Mo

I was in LA when I saw Cirque Berzerk. They weren’t bad, but were naughty, if that what you mean. I’d see ‘em again, but I’d get the best seats possible next time.

The event of the season for me would have been the preview of Windows 7. I’m not even buying a new used Vaio laptop until Windows 7 is built in or grows up (at least one service pack).
