A launch party as fun as a barrel of monkies!
… Pardon the corny joke. But to make up for it, we just got word of a great new website, and along with all great beginnings comes a great launch party.
The Vigilant Monkey has come! The Vigilant Monkey is a brand spankin’ new online news and culture magazine that targets and dissects today’s most pressing issues - along with those issues that aren’t very pressing at all, but interesting nonetheless. Current events, international news, entertainment, social action, wellness, technology, fast cars… if it catches their eyes, they will bring it to you!
The launch party will take place on October 28th, 2009, at Greenhouse from 7 to 10 pm. Part of proceeds will go to the Breast Cancer Foundation and part will go to Child’s Play. Guests will enjoy specialty cocktails by Sagatiba Rum and hor d’oeuvres throughout the night and listen to music by DJ Yoshi and a live acoustic performance by Vine House.
Not only will you have the opportunity to meet the brains behind The Vigilant Monkey, but we hear that various miscellaneous celebrities will be in attendance, including contestants from MTV’s Real World, The Real Housewives of NYC, and ABC’s The Bachelorette. Who will it be? We’d tell you – but we’re not really sure either, so come mingle!
There will also be a silent auction with unbelievable grabs, so get your checkbooks out and get ready to help out charities!
