Who in our great land of New York City doesn’t think that fashion rocks?
Maccabi World Union is making their New York City party debut on November 19th, 2009 with a glamorous event, Fashion Rocks!
From 9pm to 11pm, join us at Tenjune with the Maccabi NY Young Leadership Committee, a group of up-and-coming professionals, for Fashion Rocks.
Fashion Rocks is a fashion show that will feature designers such as Alexander Wang, Catherine Malandrino, Bill Blass, and other top designers that we’re excited to see. America’s Next Top Models from cycle 13, Jennifer An, Lisa Ramos, Ashley Howard, and Lulu Braithwaite, will all be strutting the runway to show their support.
The event will benefit Maccabi World Union (MWU), the largest and longest-running Jewish sports organization since 1895 that leverages sports to create Jewish humanitarian programs and educational opportunities worldwide.
We have all the info for you below, so join us next week for a great night of fashion and fun!
Yours,
Von
More Fashion Rocks info:
Co-chairs of the NY committee, Michael Doustan and Dina Kadisha, will be the Master and Mistress of Ceremonies. Additionally, the fashion show will be styled by Leora Kadisha, CEO of the new and quickly growing fashion/lifestyle Web site StyledOn, who is looking forward to working with the supporting designers Jenna Leigh and Jovani.
Additional brands whose designs will be featured in the fashion show include Alexander Wang, Catherine Malandrino, Bill Blass, Paul Smith, Erin Fetherston, Top Shop, and Kimberly Taylor.
The lead sponsor, Beezag is helping make this special night of fashion happen, along with StyledOn, Ronit, SBE Entertainment Group, and Curtis & Co., who is donating watches for each model to sport as they hit the catwalk (including their signature Red Big Time Air Watch, a unisex model and Curtis’ most popular collection).
SBE Entertainment’s CEO Sam Nazarian, as well as NYC trendsetters alike, will be in attendance to show their support for this great cause and will enjoy an open bar, passed hors d’oeuvres and cupcakes compliments of Baked by Melissa.
For tickets, please visit www.Maccabi.org/fashionrocks.
Tickets online are $50 and $75 at the door the night of the event.
All proceeds benefit Maccabi World Union, an organization that is over 90% volunteer-run, whose operating cost is 5-6% of its total revenues.
MWU is best known for hosting the “Maccabiah Games” (a.k.a.”Jewish Olympics”), the largest Jewish event in the world, largest tourist event in Israel, and ranks as the third largest global sporting event.
About Maccabi World Union
With 400,000+ members in 65 countries, MWU works with local leaders to implement exciting initiatives including the Maccabi Challenge (an Israel program for Jewish youngsters with developmental disabilities), Tikvah (rehabilitation of victims of terror through special sports programs) and the Maccabi Food Parcel program (which distributes enough food for thousands of Israel’s poorest families over the holidays).
