There are the exclusive places and then there are the REALLY exclusive places. Mekhong Ports of Call is thrilled to hold the next cocktail party at Hotel Griffou. It’s actually a restaurant and not a hotel (although it used to be in the 1800’s) that is now known for its delicious cocktails. It has also become known as Manhattan’s celebrity playground, where Jennifer Lopez held her last birthday party, Beyonce and Jay-Z had an intimate holiday dinner, and regulars include Uma Thurman, Chloë Sevigny, Nicole Kidman, Harvey Keitel, Diane Von Furstenberg. Anyway, you get the picture. It’s a scene. I guess it helps that the owners are veterans of La Esquina, Freemans, Goldbar and Waverly Inn. The atmosphere is super cozy and warm, with working fireplaces and gorgeous candelabras on top of the bar to help set the Edwardian bordello tone.
Enjoy complimentary tastings of the newest Mekhong cocktails, indulge in complimentary appetizers, and soak up the celebrity atmosphere. Mekhong cocktails can be purchased for $10 (they are normally $15 and up!)
