Interview With The Mistress Didi*
Question: What is the purpose of this event?
Mistress Didi*: I always want to offer BetterFetish™ opportunities than what is often found in the mainstream. This event is My contribution to The Fetish Community for the 2010 New York City Fetish Marathon, which has now become 5 days of large parties.
Since the majority of the parties during the marathon are “big club” events, I choose to offer an opportunity for Fetish Enthusiasts to meet new people and connect with old friends in an intimate, mature setting. Since attending all of the marathon parties can be quite expensive, I am giving the community a gift of a FREE event with My style of Fetish Flair.
I ask guests to purchase at least one raffle ticket ($2 each, 3 for $5) to raise funds for an animal shelter that must remain nameless. This is a perfect opportunity for people who are interested and/or curious about the Fetish Lifestyle to take advantage of a chance to meet and mingle with the crème-de-la-crème of the NYC Fetish Scene.
Question: Why must the animal shelter remain nameless?
Mistress Didi*: Due to mass ignorance regarding the realities of the Fetish Lifestyle, which is perpetrated by the media, there are too many people operating with unreasonable prejudices which can damage the progress that the animal shelter is working hard to achieve. Since most Fetish Folks are familiar with the devastating effects these prejudices can have, knowing the name of the animal shelter is not important to them. And since the quality people who attend My events have every reason to trust Me, everyone is on board with the chance to do a little something for charity while We’re having a lot of fun!
Question: What makes Your event different from other marathon parties?
Mistress Didi*: I always offer events that I would like to attend. I don’t enjoy squeezing through crowds, screaming over loud music blared by self-indulgent DJs, and having a sore throat and ringing ears the day after something that was supposed to be fun and a chance to meet people in The Scene. I have very discerning tastes and I create environments and events that reflect the elegance and The Art of Fetish that I embody and enjoy.
The focus of this soiree is on communication & intellectual stimulation to accommodate the thrill of celebrating your Fetish Lifestyle while connecting with like minds. I play an enchanting mix of chillax-groove music at decibel levels that are conducive to comfortable conversation. I’ve chosen a beautiful, private venue that serves phenomenal food so that My guests can have a delicious bite before taking a short walk to the After-Party at New York City’s only S&M Club – where they’ll receive a special discount on admission. My “Fetish Ambassadors” will introduce guests to each other ~ no one will be left out of the fun!
I am the only Party Designer who is having a fundraiser as part of The NYC Fetish Marathon and I am also the only Party Designer who is giving party favors that My guests can play with at the After-Party!
Question: Who can attend this event?
Mistress Didi*: People 21 and over who have social skills. I have prepared another gift to The Scene (which can also be used for childrearing): My FREE book, How To Present yourself To A Mistress, is a simple guide to basic manners so that everyone can have a pleasant experience in each other’s company. Question: What can someone who is not in The Scene expect at Your party?
Mistress Didi*: You can expect to meet very intelligent, friendly, super-cool people who will be amazingly dressed and happy to meet you – providing you are not a troll (someone with creepy behavior who is skulking around an event for the sole purpose of attempting to get his “kink” satisfied). I have trolls and the badly-behaved removed by Bodyguard Dave, whom everyone who is cool absolutely adores. Play (Fetish activities) will not occur at this event; Play will be plentiful at the After-Party! This event is strictly a meet-and-greet soiree.
Question: Many people are afraid to attend fetish events because someone may try to hit them or…
Mistress Didi*: That type of thinking is more of the “miseducation of the mainstream” about REAL Fetish. We have a “sacred” creed: safe, sane and consensual. We take this rule very, very seriously.
As with anything, the quality of the company you place yourself in determines the quality of your experiences. I only associate with the best and only the best Fetishists attend My events. We believe in and live Fetish As Art. True Art always demands the highest respect.
Question: Well, being new and curious, what should I wear?
Mistress Didi*: Whatever makes you feel fabulous! You know that outfit sitting in your closet that you fantasize about wearing? Or the outfit that, whenever you wear it, you feel like royalty? Or something so scandalous that you don’t want your “regular friends” to know you own it? That’s what you wear! Basic black is always good, especially with a cool pair of shoes. Absolutely no “regular” clothes – jeans, sneakers, etc. Look like you have some class and culture and came to share it with the fabulous people.
Question: What else should I know about attending Your party?
Mistress Didi*: Know that privacy is taken very seriously. No one may take a photo of anyone else without permission and photos may only be taken outside of the venue to ensure the privacy of other guests. If you see someone famous, you never speak to anyone about seeing her or him at the event. If you offer the proper respect, you will receive the proper respect. If you behave in any way that is less than fabulous, you will be removed. This is extremely rare, but if anyone annoys you, come and get Me – I will handle it. I take care of My guests. Most importantly, don’t start none, won’t be none.

Mistress Didi*: My ClassicFetish™ Cocktail Meet & Greet is on Friday, June 4th from 8pm until Midnight. I require that you obtain location details from My website to ensure that all pertinent information is available to you regarding My events.
