After a hugely successful naked painting party with over 1000 rsvp’s and 400 naked bodies swarming around the Gallery Bar, Social Exposure decided it’s time to one up itself. With a pool party. But not just any pool party…a pool party on acid.
Social Exposure will host the first ever “Dream Side Pool Party” – Stepping into a night of surrealism and escapism, Wednesday July 27th at the Grace Hotel. Co hosted by Voli Vodka and Jason P Sardo, with a media sponsorship by Karin + Raoul Magazine. The Dream Side Pool Party will feature four award winning artists who will create live, surreal inspired paintings, sculptures, light shows and perhaps giant bobbing creatures that will convince you there’s something in your drink! All while escaping the rancid, disgusting, volatile heat that is the dead of summer in Manhattan.
“Envision this as if Salvador Dali were to throw a pool party in France”, describes Sally Golan. “I want people to swim through a fusion of magic and enchantment and really lose themselves in out little world”. With an electric violin performance, Elixirs of lust sponsored by Voli Light Vodka 200 blue rubber duckies floating in a pool sponsored by United Print Group, a huge surreal purple tree drooping with flowers sponsored by Celadon and Celery Events and House music beats spun by sexy female DJ Heather M, Social Exposure is sure to achieve that.
The four hand picked artists chosen to feature work especially for the event are: Katerina Gubina, Ryan V Brennan, Nick Hayes and Kaliptus Arts. They have been given the task of creating a “fantasy and dream like world’’ by transforming the indoor pool of the Grace Hotel into Salvador’s Dali’s man cave. “I am giving them complete freedom. I said ‘I like your work. Here’s the venue. Now GO’. And we will see what happens”…. Sally exclaims. One thing that is guaranteed: All senses will be explored and people will not know what to do with themselves.
Underneath all of the magic and enticement, is a goal. To remind the New York Public that Social Exposure is so much more then just “Sexy” events with an “erotic” edge. Social Exposure aims to shine a light on the top, up and coming talents who are about to break and who aren’t afraid of intensity. Sally feels there is no need to add an element of “sexyness” to this event. Hanging out in your bathing suit is sexy enough as it is. This party is more of a celebration. Celebrating the fact that New York houses some of the best artists and entertainers in the world and that we are lucky to experience their brilliance on a daily basis.
BUT THEN AGAIN…Social Exposure just couldn’t say no to 200 female vibrators sponsored by the swanky sex shop, Babeland for the gift bags. “Why not end a surreal evening with a surreal orgasm”? Laughs Sally Golan.
Bring a bathing suit and your camera. Expect to forget you are in New York, and fall into a dream.
