Last Saturday, October 22nd, New Yorkers were treated to our very own Oktoberfest, a complete event, over flowing with German and local craft beers, schnitzel, polka, cigars and lovely German serving girls.  The day was split into two sessions that drew a massive turn out.  I arrived early to assure that I was able to fully enjoy the festivities and was smart to do that.  Ticketholders were lined up around the block prior to the start of Das Best Oktoberfest in anticipation of relishing in all things foamy and wet.

Right down to the lanyards designed to hold your glass, every detail of the event seemed to have been considered.

The highlight of the event was the 100s of international and craft beers to generously sample.  High caliber brews including: Chimay, Bitburger, Ommegang, Erdinger, Heavy Seas and Radeberger Pilsner, were available in copious quantity served up by the bubbly graciousness of the bier mädchen’s.

Event sponsor, Larry Flint’s Hustler Club had there “brand ambassadors” out dressed in slinky black passing out free VIP entry to those that wanted to get more than a tease of what was beyond the more traditional German maiden dresses.  But honestly, there was more than enough fun to be had between Beer belly contests, the Miss Octoberfest Contest and the best pretzel necklace.

To sum it all up it was Das Best Oktoberfest!
