After gushing about Rafael Cennamo and his gorgeous handcrafted collection, I had another opportunity of seeing his work of art up close at the Lincoln center. This time it was for his latest Spring 2013 presentation.

My growing admiration for his collections are intangible. Words really cannot describe in 600 words or less about this glowing brilliance of a collection. In my eyes he is like a patrician! Exaggeration but his taste in fabrics, his design technique, and aesthetic is making me a believer.

A couture fairytale, is what I called Rafael Cennamo Spring 2013 Collection.

High-octane glamour dominated the runway this season in collections by Zang Toi, Reem Acra, Bibhu Mohapatra and Rafel Cennamo.

“I was inspired by Japanese culture,” Cennamo said at his presentation on Saturday. The designer used hand embroidery to represent traditional cherry blossoms and created a kimono shape with metal obi belts. “I wanted a mix of soft and structure.”
