A Night to Rebuild Emilia Romagna
A distinguished group of international celebrities, along with New York City’s food and wine community, have joined together to raise funds to help Italy’s Emilia Romagna region rebuild after the May 20th earthquake. A Night to Rebuild Emilia Romagna will take place October 23, 2012, from 7 p.m. to 12 a.m. (VIP reception 7-10pm, afterparty 10pm-12am) at Parlor, an exclusive private club in the city’s West Village neighborhood.
With the support of such luminaries as Joan Allen and Nicoletta Mantovani Pavarotti, as well as revered chefs such as Anthony Bourdain, Michael White, Mark Ladner, Katherine Lahr, Gabe Thompson, Joe Campanale, and mixologists Cristina Bini from Casa Lever, Dev Johnson and Damiano Coren from Employees Only and Macao Trading Co, the evening will include extensive wine and food tastings, live music from Ari Why, and a silent auction-all to celebrate this historic region that has given the world some of its most treasured foods and wines.
This event is made possible thanks to special VIP guest Anthony Bourdain, author of “Get Jiro!” and host of “Anthony Bourdain: No Reservations;” Michael White of restaurants Ai Fiori, Marea, Nicoletta and Osteria Morini; Mark Ladner of Del Posto restaurant; Katherine Lahr, Gabe Thompson, Joe Campanale of L’Artusi, dell’anima, Anfora and L’Apicio, Michael Wilson and Sabrina Notarnicola from La Cucina Italiana Magazine, the Italian Trade Commission, and media partners La Cucina Italiana Magazine and i-Italy.
