Featuring: William Greenberg Desserts for Holiday Cheer
Enough with the rock-hard fruitcake and the curdling egg nog. If you’re gonna give food and drink as a gift for the holidays, it better taste good. Just how you would lay out your best treats for Santa, we recommend William Greenberg Desserts for some delicious holiday cheer.
Whether entertaining party guests or giving a gift to the party host, you can’t go wrong with these decorative cookies to get you in the holiday spirit. Perfect to pair with a glass of milk! (Or maybe some whiskey on the rocks for those of age.)
William Greenberg Desserts has been serving New Yorkers for over 65 years, inspiring the taste of Christmas and Hanukkah traditions. If you don’t smile from these festival holiday shapes, consider yourself a Scrooge.
Their classic butter cookies are really the star of the show. For Christmas themes, choose from Christmas trees, ornaments, five-pointed stars, heavenly angels, and, of course, ol’ Saint Nick himself. For the Festival of Lights, get your Hannukah on with their six-pointed Star of David, Menorahs, and dreidels. Sorry, the dreidels won’t actually spin, but they will taste delicious. The also have a Hanukkah gift set that includes six miniature blue and white cookies and a wooden dreidel that does spin, and old world sticky-delicious schnecken, packed with cinnamon and nuts.
For general winter cookies, Frosty the Snowman pairs nicely with the lovely snowflakes. My favorite is their softer variety of cake-y cookies: they put a spin on the traditional iced black and white cookie, transforming them to festive red and green or white and blue.
In addition to cookies, their offerings include cupcakes, fruit tarts, pies and cakes, rugelach, linzer tarts, schnecken, babka, hot cross buns and hamantaschen. And their brownies, to die for!
William Greenberg Desserts has proudly upheld their recipes that they used when they first opened in 1946, truly understanding the meaning of quality and tradition. Bring the family together to get a taste of the holidays.
