Ferragamo Celebrates 75 Years in London Under the Royal Burlington Arcades
On Wednesday, December 5th, Ferragamo celebrated the re-opening of the boutique on Old Bond Street and 75 years in London with a private dinner under The Royal Burlington Arcades at the heart of Mayfair.
After a private cocktail party in the newly renovated boutique, Creative Director, Massimiliano Giornetti, celebrities Jessica Alba and Camilla Belle joined 180 select VIP guests for the first ever dinner held under the recently restored architectural English treasure.
It was in 1938 that Salvatore Ferragamo opened his first boutiques in Florence and Rome. In a typically far-sighted choice, the founder of our company also chose another, less predictable location for a third opening that year: London. Almost 75 years later, Ferragamo celebrates a grand re-opening of the newly renovated Old Bond Street store.
The gallery, where visitors are still required to observe a formal conduct, runs just alongside the boutique and will open its spaces to a luxury brand for the very first time after being recently restored to its ancient splendor. Dinner was served around a table more than 60 meters long and featured Italian themed decor complete with 10,000 Ferragamo-red roses and 700 Christmas candles.
Other notable guests included: Polly Morgan, Mary Helvin, Olivia Grant, Amber & Yasmin Le Bon, Tallulah Harlech, Mary Charteris, Portia Freeman, Annabelle Neilson ,Jasmine Guinness, Charlie Casely-Hayford, Charlotte Tilbury, Marc Quinn, Ferruccio and Ilaria Ferragamo, Tim Noble, Valeria Napoleone, Elizabeth von Guttman, James Ferragamo, Matt Collishaw, Fulvia Visconti Ferragamo, Leonardo Ferragamo, and many more.
