The Dalloway Restaurant and Bar Holds Grand Opening with DJ Samantha Ronson
Co-Owners Amanda Leigh Dunn and Kim Stolz hosted the Grand Opening of The Dalloway Restaurant and Bar in SoHo on Tuesday, December 4 with DJ Samantha Ronson, menu items by Chef Vanessa Miller and cocktails compliments of Stoli. The Dalloway, open to the public since November 13, is holding a strong new presence in the New York City dining and nightlife scene.
Stolz, former America’s Next Top Model contestant and MTV Correspondent turned author and Equity Derivatives Trader, and Dunn, a cast member of Showtime’s The Real L Word, as well as Publicist and Events Specialist have long been influencers in the NYC lesbian scene. The Dalloway, their first collaboration, was born out of a desire to create a venue with a strong female team that is open to everyone. While Dunn and Stolz are opening their doors to all of NYC, they will also be providing the LGBT community with a place that feels like home.
DJ Samantha Ronson flew in from California to provide music for the Grand Opening celebration, playing girl themed songs including “Girls!” by the Beastie Boys and “Pretty Woman” by Roy Orbison. Guests ranged from fans of Ronson’s, Wall Street colleagues of Stolz’, The Real L Word Cast members to beautiful models who have been frequenting The Dalloway since opening night.
The Dalloway cocktail menu features an array of fresh ingredients and infused syrups that give those traditional favorites a makeover, maintaining the classic flavor profiles but keeping up with today’s competitive mixology scene. Favorites include the Clarissa & Mary, an evening take on a Bloody Mary featuring clear-pressed tomato juice, vodka, peppercorn and celery salt and the signature Mrs. Dalloway, a take on the classic clover club.
