Whiskey Festival East Ville Des Folies at Webster Hall
Filed under Event, Food & Beverage, Review
Webster Hall, “the Jewel of the Village”, a venue reputedly owned by infamous mobster Al Capone in the 1920s prohibition era, threw its 1st annual Beer and Whiskey Festival East Ville Des Folies on January 19th. The Hall was a regular hot spot for quiet knocks and hushed whispers, turn-the-other-cheek coppers and strong booze back in the day, and now, once more, thanks to this event.
The festival featured four floors of the world’s best whiskey (and some bourbon too!) and beer. The festival’s best elements were the live music and trapeze acts.
The downstairs floor was transformed into an exclusive lounge for Templeton Rye Whiskey, said to be Capone’s favorite drink. The event featured the Spinning Prize Wheel, Trapeze and Circus acts, scantily clad Burlesque dancers, Swing Jazz Bands, and more.
